What shipped, and when.

The biggest clean-up yet. A dozen fixes and small features from a week of buyer testing, plus one consistent word for connections.

• Fields keep every space you type, even when you type quickly. Custom record fields were dropping characters mid-word.
• Your own record types show up everywhere. A City, a Building or an Organization now appears in connection dropdowns and lists under its own heading, instead of hiding under Custom.
• Events with a date show on the World Timeline, instead of reading as “Undated.”
• Setting an event date is smoother. Clear the day and type a new one without it snapping back.
• The Hierarchy tab lists people and groups only, not events.
• Reorder Story Order events with up and down arrows on each row, or by dragging; the drag now works reliably.
• Turn a name the app noticed in your writing into a connection with one click, from Unlinked mentions.
• Add a character’s perspective to an event any time, from the event itself, not only when you first create it.
• Adding a family member links both people, not just one side.
• Delete a vault from Settings. Type its name to confirm; it moves to your system trash so it can be recovered.
• One word for connections. The same link was called a relation, a relationship, and a perspective in different places; it is “Connection” everywhere now.
• Hide the character fields you don’t use, bring them back whenever, and find your custom record types in Settings → Record Types.

A follow-up release. Six fixes, most of them corrections to things 1.0.20 looked like it had fixed but hadn’t.

• Family trees place siblings correctly. A “sibling of” link used to leave that person a generation too high, beside their own parent. Siblings share parents, so the link now does too.
• Kind records show up in the right dropdowns. A Structure can be picked as a Home, an Organization as an Allegiance; records made from a kind were being read as plain “Custom” and offered nowhere.
• Every built-in kind files somewhere. Fourteen of them had no home set, so their records collected in Custom and no field would link them.
• Dates read as dates. Family cards and chronicle entries showed the internal storage value where a date belongs.
• Story Order drag-and-drop works. You could pick an event up but never drop it.
• Renaming no longer keeps the old title as an alias when you chose to update the references, and the parallel timeline’s column headings line up again.

The failures that used to happen in silence.

• Character profiles keep your spaces. Every field of the profile trimmed what you typed and collapsed double spaces.
• Chronicle entries save. The date, kind, location and author notes on an entry were all being discarded, and entries were listed in an order unrelated to when they happened.
• Ebooks are credited to you. Every EPUB carried “WorldFrame” as the author instead of the name you entered. A book made of flat chapters also exports with a real table of contents now.
• Mentions link in every language. Names in Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean were never matched in prose. Typing [[ opens the record picker in notes too.
• A linked record survives a rename. A relation field went blank when the record it pointed at was renamed.
• Find & Replace is exact about what it changes, and a replacement containing a $ goes in as typed.
• Buttons that did nothing now work. Email report and Contact open your mail app; adding an image reports a failure instead of ignoring you; Open sample world says what went wrong.
• Option lists can be typed. Field options and calendar weekdays lost the comma as you pressed it, so a second entry could only be pasted.
• Typing in a dialog stays where you put it. Every dialog reclaimed focus whenever anything behind it changed.
• The family tree handles several partners, side by side rather than stacked in one spot.
• Deleted chapters no longer appear as a record’s backlinks.

Typing, data integrity, and a first run that explains itself.

• Typing a space no longer deletes it. A space typed into a record field could vanish as it was pressed. Fixed.
• Nothing quietly lost. Fields marked secret, and heraldry added to a group, were being discarded when a record was read back. They stay put.
• Every world type works. Science Fiction, Mystery, Horror and Historical could not create a world at all. They can now, and Mystery has been added to the list.
• A sample world in one click. Opens a populated world on a Start Here note that explains records, kinds and connections. No folder to choose.
• The welcome tour is no longer one-time. Re-open it whenever you like, even with a world already open.
• A sidebar that holds still. Turn off expand-on-hover for a fixed icons-only rail.
• Arrange your record tabs. Drag them into order, hide the ones you never open, restore the defaults.
• Group your fields. Give fields a section name and they gather under that heading on every record of that type.
• One focus mode. Escape and ⌘. both leave distraction-free writing, in the manuscript as well as in notes.
• Report a problem. Copy the details for an email from Settings. Versions and errors only, never your writing.

Records land in the right place, and links you can trust.

• Records file where you expect. A spell goes under Magic, a city or building under Places, instead of collecting in Custom.
• Change a record’s type. Filed something wrong? Open it, pick Change type. Its notes, links and fields come with it.
• Records keep their own look. A City or Spell shows its own icon and name, and a record with a portrait shows the picture on its card.
• Tasks stay put. Adding a task to a record and pressing Enter no longer loses it.
• Linked fields keep your choice. Picking a record in a field no longer blanks out.
• Link two records more than once. The same person can be both your mother and your mentor.
• Link many records in one field. A curse can list every carrier it afflicts.
• Jump straight from the graph. Double-click a node to open that record.
• Steadier imports. Bringing in an Obsidian or Markdown vault no longer creates duplicate shelves or a blank screen.

Scaling, and updates that announce themselves.

• App-wide zoom. ⌘+ and ⌘− scale the whole interface, ⌘0 resets.
• A “What’s new” note so updates no longer land silently.
• Help & support in Settings → About.

Writing goals and safer keys.

• Daily writing goal. Set a words-per-day target and build a streak.
• Recovery-key safeguards. Confirm it on setup, and re-reveal it any time.
• Fixed a rare issue where names with quotation marks could pick up stray backslashes.
