Our philosophy

Your world should belong to you.

WorldFrame is built by one independent developer on a stubborn belief: the worlds you imagine, and the years of work you pour into them, should be yours to keep. Not rented. Not gated. Not held hostage by a monthly bill.

The short version: You own your world and your data, in plain files on your own machine. One purchase, no subscription, no lock-in. Built to be kept, not milked.

Somewhere along the way, the tools creators depend on stopped serving creators. WorldFrame is a deliberate return to the other way of doing things.

The industry started charging rent

Your novel, your world, your decade of notes, locked behind a subscription that never ends. Miss a payment and the door shuts on your own imagination. Features you already had get quietly moved up a tier. The word "cloud" came to mean theirs, not yours. That is not a service. It is a leash, and the people making some of the most patient, personal work in the world deserve better than a leash.

So I built the opposite

I am one independent developer, and I got tired of watching people pay rent on their own creativity. WorldFrame is the answer I wanted to exist: a professional-grade studio for building worlds and writing the books set inside them, running on the principle the industry forgot. You own it. In full. For good.

What ownership actually means

Not a slogan. Four concrete promises the software keeps:

Your data stays yoursEvery character, map, and chapter is a plain file on your own disk. Open them in anything. Keep them for life. Walk away from WorldFrame tomorrow and your world is still sitting there, readable and intact.
Buy it onceNo subscription for something that should be simple. WorldFrame never phones home for permission, never expires, and never runs a meter while you write.
Private by defaultNo account. No telemetry. Nothing leaves your machine unless you choose to send it. Your imagination is nobody's data set.
Built to be keptI would rather make something you are proud to own than squeeze a little more out of you every month. Quality is the business model.

You are not a revenue line

The industry loves to talk about users and churn. You are neither. You are a maker doing serious, patient work, and the tool in front of you should treat you that way: get out of your path, guard your privacy, and never once make you feel rented to. That is the standard I hold every release to, and it is the reason WorldFrame exists at all.

Build worlds you own. Write books you keep. That is the whole idea.

Own your world.

Build it, write it, and keep it. One purchase, yours forever, on your own machine.
